Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out about this! As @Slak_Jaw shared, star ratings are not currently available in djay’s music library on djay Pro AI for iOS.
That said, I’ve moved your post over to this already existing thread on the same topic. If this should change in the future, this is where we’ll share any news with you about updates.
Thanks again and let us know if you have any other questions!
It would be great to have the possibility to have the calcification, marking with stars the songs or comments, notes like the Mac version, but in this occasion for the iPad version.
Hi @Slak_Jaw Is it somehow possible to get the star rating for iOS in the next update please?
Why is it so difficult to display the additional columns in IOS?
Hi @DJKamyR, I’ve moved your post to this topic. Please use the blue vote button at the top left of this page to show you interest in adding this feature to djay. Thanks!
Yes, please please add Star Ratings for iOS. We’ve been asking a long time, and it’s the only thing keeping me from using DJay regularly. It runs so flawlessly on iPad Pro. All we need is to be able to freely rate songs and sort by rating (see a column). Please. Thanks.
That is correct. And I dont want to knock the developers because the rest of the app is outstanding. But it really needs this feature so we can manage our libraries effectively. It’s the only reason I’m not using Djay exclusively.
It is not made clear or expained by algoriddim but all library management features such as genre, rating, colour, coments, grouping etc are performed on the mac version.
Once you transfer your djay library from your mac to your ipad, all the info will come with it and you can then manage these fields on your ipad.
You will not be able to see them but you will be able to use them.
Oh no! I really hope the developers can fix it. It’s so frustrating when the main functions are in the DJ program and they’re not available. This is terrible! I’ve actually changed my mind about buying an iPad Pro and installing djay pro on it. I’ll wait until such an opportunity appears.
The iPad will register most fields that have been edited on your Mac, it just won’t allow you to edit them.
I have given all my tracks a star rating on my Mac and as you can see from the image I can then use them on my iPad
In this image I have added all the other useful fields that once edited on your Mac you can use on your iPad.
Once you get used to the workflow it becomes very useful and handy
It works very similar to the apple music mac/ios workflow.
apple music on ios has very limited functionality, if you want to edit genre, year, grouping, rating etc you can only do it on the mac version.
Once you have edited these on a mac and synced your library the ipad/iphone will recognise the changes you have made.
Djay works in the same way apart from syncing them up which can be done but a little differently
