In words:
Currently, when a user loads a track in djay, these load settings determine where the playhead starts. The available options are:
Off
Start Cue
Cue Point 1
Earliest Cue Point (1–8)
My suggestion is to introduce a fifth option to these Load Settings: a combination of Start Cue & Earliest Cue Point.
Let’s call it: Earliest Cue Point (including Start Cue).
Why this makes sense:
Unfortunately, djay doesn’t automatically detect or place Start Cues, and not all of my tracks have manually placed Start Cues yet.
Most of my tracks do have Cue Points (often imported or converted from other DJ software).
So with this combination option, you get the best of both worlds — djay will always start the track at either the Start Cue or the Earliest Cue Point, depending on which is available.
Thanks for your attention and please vote for this in the upper left “Vote Box!!”
I believe this feature will make a huge difference for DJs like me who rely on a mix of Cue Points and manually placed Start Cues.
Really appreciate you picking this up, as always, it means so much to have your support and engagement on these ideas. Looking forward to any future updates on this!
