Hi @ronschae4 and everyone else who has responded on this thread,
First of all, thanks for joining our Community and for reporting this issue! As @paulmack shared, this is an ongoing bug that he reported some time ago, and so I’ve moved your post (along with the other posts on your thread) to this already existing topic thread to continue tracking this problem.
Our Development Team has been actively investigating this issue, and I will push this internally again with them and provide them with the additional information you’ve shared. I’ll keep this thread updated with any news. Thanks once again for your patience!
Can anyone else confirm that TIDAL Hi-Fi tracks are now working for them? I have been able to use them the past few nights with no audio dropouts or buffering. I am pretty sure this issue has been resolved.
I am having this problem again (w/Tidal Hi-FI, on IpadPro M1) since I downloaded the new version (4.1.7). Tracks not fully loading past a few seconds, and djay getting stuck analyzing tracks. Like in the past, all problems go away when switching back to “high” quality.
iOS version. I was playing with the new Tidal Max library. If I play the tracks straight out without the 0.1 start time, DJ App will only play for 10 seconds. If I move the wave length for just a bit at the beginning of the track, DJ App would play the entire song, that’s where I thought if I change the start time to 0.1 in the setting, it would work. The songs sound so much better with Tidal Max on DJ App now!! Have not tried other versions but should work
Should be an easy fix for the developers, if the track is from Tidal, fix start time to 0.001 (ish). My device is iPhone 12. I understand the issue also affects on Android (app downloaded on Google Store).
I’m joining the chorus by reporting that I have encountered many Tidal tracks that either will not complete analyzing or come to a dead stop while playing in dj Pro AI. I can also report that setting the Tidal streaming quality to “normal” seems to be the fix, but I have not done extensive testing. Also, based on very noncritical tests, I can’t hear a quality difference between the Tidal streaming quality settings. Running stand-alone Tidal at my account’s highest setting, Hi-Fi, I have not observed a single playback problem. At this point, since I only use Tidal for its connection into to dj Pro AI, why would I pay for the Hi-Fi level of service?
I’m running latest versions of all software on macOS.
