Tidal Video "Asset is not ready for playback" error

Thanks for the hack, I agree this should have been resolved by now, there should also be some kind of discount on the subscription price as we are paying in full for a service that is now limited and some of us have had to subscribe to other services whilst this issue persists.

Hello - how can we put more pressure on Tidal? I raised a support ticket, and they sent me the standard ‘we’re on it’ reply. Also, what are the alternatives?

This is an ABSOLUTE JOKE and debilitating. The reason we pay for DJay, and Tidal subscriptions is because we expect the supported features to work correctly, which are not. Why is it the burden of subscribers to contact Tidal to try and escalate the issue? Algoriddim should be doing that on our behalf. They created the Tidal plugin and worked with Tidal developers to create the features in the first place. You can’t tell me there isn’t a way for Algoriddim support, development or management to further escalate this issue. Isn’t there a contract between Algoriddim and Tidal to use the services? We have a job to do with includes playing video and you’ve lured us in to use your product and now it doesn’t work. UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Here’s what I’m expecting Algoriddim to do in the next few days:

  1. Have the President of the company contact Senior Management at Tidal and escalate the issue.
  2. After that provide a REALISTIC timeframe for a fix.
  3. Provide a possible workaround so we can play videos and do the jobs we promised our customers.

Something similar happened with Sound Cloud about a year ago and it never was fixed, and I had to switch to Tidal and now this? Seems to be a reoccurring issue in DJay. UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Don’t think it will end here. I’m sure a new issue will pop up sometime with Tidal or another service where you’ll have to wait MONTHS to get a fix. This is a bunch of BALOGNA.

GET IT FIXED!!!

Please note that our executive team is 100% in contact with the Tidal executive team regarding this important issue and they’ve communicated the urgency of the problem. However, it is helpful for Tidal support to also receive direct feedback from as many actual users as possible on the severity of this issue to further escalate things. Again, sorry for the inconvenience regarding this, but please understand that it is not directly within our control to remedy. Thanks for understanding.

I understand that however not enough is being done if we’re on the verge of this issue going on for 2 months. A few days is one thing but 2 months?? That’s unacceptable. We sign contracts to provide video for our gigs and we cannot because of this. Someone from the executive level should be sending out some form of communication to DJay subscribers on what steps have been taken to resolve the issue, what Tidal identified as the issue, what communication with Tidal has taken place, and a realistic timeline for getting it fixed. All we keep hearing is “we’re in contact with Tidal and will let you know when the problem is fixed”.

Sorry, that’s not good enough. Sounds like more pressure needs to be put on Tidal from the executive team.

Is there a parent Tidal case number assigned to Algoriddim that we can reference for this issue? This will help in articulating with Tidal what videos aren’t playing and what case they should be focusing on.

Hi @elltkeen, you can share your video examples here and we will share them directly with the Tidal executive team.

I’ve gotten email after email stating , “they’re looking into it” … videos used to play in Djay Pro but no longer do…as you stated, only about 10% of them … New Year’s Eve is days away and TIDAL must know that this is a crucial issue…but they keep giving us the run around :frowning:

UPDATE!!! PLAYED TONIGHT AND IT FINALLY WORKS!!! haven’t tested ALL the videos but the ones I KNOW that didn’t work, all of a sudden work now!!! just in time for new years to!

I randomly just tried it before this post and all the videos in my Automix were playing which was a new development. More testing to do but it looks positive.
