I made a post about this before but it’s been closed so I couldn’t bump it.

The iPad version has this feature but it’s missing from the MacOS version (which should be the most comprehensive version). I consider this a bug as there seems to be no way to change the next up track on automix without overwriting the next queued song which is definitely unintended behaviour.
Please see my previous post linked above for video examples and I hope this is fixed in an update soon as the problem has existed for a long time now.
