What a shame! Your efforts have been appreciated but obviously I’m back to square one, with a software I can’t use. Is there any sort of reference number I can quote for a refund via Apple?

I´m trying for two month to set up a vestax vci 400. I used Google, ChatGPT and Grok. But there seems to be no solution for my problem. I want to map the Controller with this Mapping

At the moment I struggle with the pads. If I push the small pads 1-4 I want to change the mode of the 8 big pads.
I can use this controler with serato and Mixxx no Problem, but Djay Pro has it´s own ideas. And the tutorials are off when it gets interesting. Can someone tell me whether it´s possible or I should stick to serato or go to mixxx.

Hey there, I’ve got a Vestax VCI-400 which is currently mapped to DJ Pro. However, the 8 PADS are mapped to loop / effects by default, and the 4 buttons to change between pages are also mapped to autoloop functions (this controller was designed like this). Using MIDI Monitor, I’ve checked that the 8 pads are the same note and in the same channel whatever pad mode/page you are (old hardware design), so in terms of hardware, I’ve got only 8 actions to do (not 8x4=32). Hi @Davidmc, welcome to the Community! Please use search before creating new topics. I have merged your new topic with this existing one. Please see above for more info. I suspect this is either related to the version of the VCI-400 that you have (there are several different sub-models). You may also need to update your firmware depending on the VCI-400 model that you have.

@monkadj yes, I’m 100% positive I had 4 Performance Pad modes on my VCI-400. I know for sure because I made a custom MIDI mapping for them in djay Pro AI on iOS and MacOS. [IMG_4117]
