Thanks for sharing @paul_calver. I’m pretty used to using layers with my custom MIDI mappings so I think one K3 will probably suit my typical workflow. Keep in mind, if you trade the Mixtour Pro for a 3rd K3, you will need to add an audio interface for master output and headphone pre-cueing.
Yeah the audio interface .. that’d be the step I’d forget until I plugged everything in .. and … DOH! Haha

Hopefully they’ll release a version of the K3 with a built in audio interface soon.
Yeah that’d be great timing for me . The TE KO sidekick may be an option.but I’ll wait a bit methinks!

I’m enjoying the K3s in conjunction with Mixtour pro.
Set up was a snap and I’m finding I can stay in flow longer as menu diving was slowing me down as haven’t developed the muscle memory yet. That’s a me thing!

Hi, can I ask you if you had to set the 2 K3 on different MIDI channels when connecting them via usb-c? I’m having some kind of trouble… if I connect the 2 K3s to my iPad, Djay Pro keeps seeing them both on channel 15, even if I change it in hardware, even if I change the XML, even if I use my custom mappings. I made mappings using PC and then copied them into the iPad. How is the correct procedure? I want to use 1 K3 for Deck1 and the other for Deck2. Thanks!
Hiya! I have just used the default mapping setting the layer on each k3 to match the deck.
All worked - but I did have to update firmware on one of the k3’s first.
Haven’t had to fiddle with midi the default setup Works for my needs at the moment

Hi @ExposedInfinity, welcome to the Community! Can you please provide more detail on what you want to achieve with the Crossfader mapping? You would not normally map this type of control to a single button.
hi thanks for the reply. i realize now as a beginner the most i need is 2 decks and the 3rd fader works as a crossfader. I mainly want to use the Cross FX.
You’re welcome @ExposedInfinity. Yes, I think that a better idea to map an up fader to the crossfader rather than a button.
