My apologies Slak Jaw, I searched for âSiquoiaâ I shouldve searched for âMac OS 15â
I notice with Siquoia it makes DJay run smoother, less laggy, less pauses, this is with home test, this is with all âlibrary backupâ file deleted and reloaded my crates from scratch, and without controller,
I find searching songs on âMy Filesâ is better with less lag.
But I will test it out in full on my Sat Gig will report back.
Any official support noted for MacOS 15 yet? The official Serato email arrived today confirming their software works, and they are usually the slowest. Are we sticking with the âat your own riskâ for now?
So far working great for me on Sequoia as well. This may be a dumb question but once an OS gets the thumbs up, should one be safe to continue upgrading within the same OS e.g the newest 15.2 update. Used to staying a full OS behind on my last software.
Hi @jmoak311, in general yes. However, if you have important gigs on the horizon, in my personal opinion, itâs good to exercise caution and to always have a backup plan. Linked below are my personal recommendations that I shared a long time ago before joining the Algoriddim team. I believe these are still relevant no matter what DJ software and hardware you use. I hope that helps!
Thank you! I had no intention of updating to Sequoia, but my new Mac came with it installed. Even though my last backup was transferred from Ventura, sequoia was still installed. djay pro worked plug and plug right away so I didnât bother to roll back the software.
Gotta shut down macOS auto updates first, only apps and security. My new laptop came with sequoia even though I used Time Machine with a Ventura update. So far so good.
