Agreed. I’ve had pretty good luck with what I’ve purchased, no duds so far
- Windows to have all the same features of the mac os version, including visuals and video.
- Detachable library browser so you can move this to a second external monitor and have all the fx, looper, sampler tabs open.
- Screen Scaling options for users that use ultrawide screens, because djay pro looks beautiful on an ultrawide screen!
- 30 second end of track warning on all controllers, also more obvious on the screen rather than just the remaining time flashing red, or have an option, 1. Subtle alert 2. Can’t miss this alert setting. This is especially useful if busy djs are not staring at the screen all the time.
- Option to show current selected pads on screen, so hot cues, then when selection sampler, it also shows sampler on screen and so on, also have the ability to change what each pad option can do, for example the ability to change from slicer to instant FX or Stems
- 14 bit tempo fader support for custom mapped dj controllers, as this seems to default to 7 bit which is really old hat nowadays.
Other than that, Djay pro is an amazing product, and I’ve been actively using this, I went back to rekordbox to try and was shocked at how good DJay Pro is in comparison to Rekordbox.
Thanks for the input and feedback @djhsdjhs
Hope 6.0 figures out how to manage music from One Library. Why not one folder with all music instead of a folder for each song and artist?
NOTICE: As this topic continues to grow, I think it’s worth reminding everyone again what I shared above multiple times:
If you want any of these ideas to gain traction with our dev team, you need to post your comments in an existing related Suggestion topic (please use the Search Tool) or create a new Suggestion. This allows other users to upvote your idea and for me to properly track and report the feature to the devs. This is a great topic for brainstorming ideas, but this is not a suitable place for me to gather feature suggestions for our team. Thanks for understanding.
I hope that helps!
I hope in the next software update to see support for the Denon DJ Prime series screens, There is support for the Pioneer DJ 3000(x) but at present time no support for the Denon DJ Prime series screens. Laidback Luke demonstrates that you can use 4 Denon DJ SC players up via the Denon DJ x1800/1850 mixers which is a great, though some mapping has to be done, not as tight as using the Reloop series of controllers, but works for me, only if the support for the screens ( yes I already mentioned it
) also if they can implement in the software for actual manual loop adjustment, which in other dj software possible by depressing the loop in and loop out to adjust the loop to the user’s desired style of loop, yes cool to set a loop in Djay software, but for some of us there is that way of making the loop sound like you want and need it to be. Again Algoriddim DJay Pro is a very powerful DJ software and yes I speak on this from 1982 to present dj that has seen DJ’ing evolve from records, cassette tapes, reel to reel, cd’s, mp3’s, to just DJ’ing from your phone, tablet, of course from the years of tendon tearing in the fingers and herniated disc and groin hernia from lifting crates of records and equipment and that even with the use of a dolly
. I also have this idea in my head that Apple may one day team with Algoriddim on making a version of a dj controller, heck Apple MacBook pro and Ipad’s and Djay Pro are already a unbeatable team. And we already know with Algoriddim DJay there is no “snake oil” type marketing like the current thing of the Rane System One ( which does work with Algoriddim DJay Pro ) and that whole thing of analyzing stems on the unit ( kind of past that early 2026 window
still a good controller, but….. stand by your marketing Rane ) I may have opened up that Pandora’s box on that topic, kind of glad I did not drop the $2700 tax included US dollars like my friends did, ( kind of like buying a Toyota Landcruiser with a 4 cylinder engine thinking you can tow 1,000 bags of cement ). One thing I will say Algoriddim DJay Pro has not disappointed me at all since I started using it. Would I like to be an agent for Algoriddim at dj expo’s like NAMM, well yes because I like a vast majority of us on this forum actually use Algoriddim DJay Pro software. But my wishlist, manual loop via hardware and user, DenonDJ screen support, and Apple and Algoriddim making a full fledged dj controller. Algoriddim DJay Pro a software for creative DJ’s that make great mixes and keep the dance floors packed, and Like Run ( Run DMC ) “GOD DARN THAT DJ MADE MY DAY ( keeping in rated G, for the kid’s, no cussing/cursing
)
There is no ‘snake oil’ marketing with that device either, you just can’t see the hard work being done in the background to get the next update ready for release.
Just because you can’t see things, doesn’t mean nothing is happening.
True and that what I have been explaining to my friends, they arethe ones complaining to me and I honestly say why did you not just wait for things before buying, trust me I know the whole background thing, I worked for IBM making chips back the the late 1980’s, 90’s and 2000’s. My theory always has been never jump on something if you have not done serious research on, for some ( not me ) out there $2700 is a steep investment. No disrespect intended just my opinion. I do use and own Rane products since they were in Washington state and before the merger with InMusic, my issue is never advertise something if it not readily available, kind like going to a restaurant with your appetite for what is on the menu and they do not have it ( for weeks upon weeks ) Algoriddim stands firm with what they put on their product.
I think the main reason behind the delay (and something others like PK have alluded to) is this Windows midi 2.0 issue that has screwed up all the InMusic drivers that are used to connect hardware to software. It seems like an ‘all hands on deck’ approach had to be taken to solve that.
My guess is, we are very close to Engine 5.0 being released and a lot of these features will be on the system one, and hopefully Djalma pro integrated into Omni sourcing.
Very true I also use Engine DJ due to owning and using DenonDJ gear. And for all my friends that own the Rane System One, I had to show them how to use the Engine DJ software to analyze music tracks for the use of stems for the Rane System One, oh Lord have mercy the complaints were all over the place and my ears were full of wax and I had to turn on my selective listening ( like when my daughter’s starting talking about music and some of my music was outdated, until I heard them listening to my mixes, different comments after ) but as I stand with Algoriddim DJay Pro as my main software and no money or favors have been exchanged for me to say this, and I 100% say that Algoriddim DJay Pro software should be in almost every dj’s arsenal for music mixing due to the compatibility with a majority of dj hardware. And yes the Windows issue is a major thing which over the past 2 decades I notice there is a solid stability with Mac and IOS over Windows and Android for use with certain dj software and hardware compatibility. Yes we have come a long way in software since Final Scratch which was part of the Stanton Magnetics brand alongside Rane which later was partnered with Serato. But as I state for Djay 6.0 my wish list, manually being able to manipulate loop start and end points, screen display support for the DenonDJ gear, and since Apple is the company that makes Macbooks and Ipads which work flawless with Algoriddim DJay Pro….. the possibilities of an Apple dj controller just for Algoriddim djay pro ( kind of biased on my part, but Algoriddim does respect any input from us on the forum, “ things that make you go hmmmm”![]()

), and yes I would purchase that in a heartbeat and showcase the many uses at every show, event or as a teaching tool.
Takes about 3:30 to render STEMs on a 3;45 long song.
I saw this couple of days ago. Not really great as can only render local music and it takes sooooooo long. Why you would render local music on the fly I don’t know. You’ll probably still want to analyse beforehand like previously. It’s a big leap forward though and just shows how advancing. Won’t be long before you get a standalone that can render in quick time and streaming services as well.
Some people might only decide they want to use stems on a track as they are DJing though, so this allows them to quickly analyse the track and then use it. If you have a playlist of say 400 tracks, do you want to pre-analyse all 400 (huge space hog) when you might only use stems on say 30 of them.
its just another option for people.
Problem at the moment though it isn’t quick.
No, but its still quick enough for plenty of people, especially if you’re planning a couple of track ahead you can set it off and have it ready.
Lets see how fast it is once its on peoples devices and some real world testing has been done.
Well the testing has been done on system one and it’s like over 2 minutes for a relatively short tracK. Not sure which dj on a system one which is probably aimed at scratch and open format dj has 2 minutes to wait.
Cool this is a step forward indeed, now let me purchase this and add this to my studio and yes sit back and analyze tracks will binge watching Monk on Prime video
, whoa wait the video that is on Digital DJ tips has frozen while playing, uh oh… and now to private, come on what the heck ? let me head to Guitar Center this weekend and do my own testing.
Like I said if you’re planning ahead.
what about someone who doesn’t use the system but jumps on with a usb stick, they can start analysing a few on the fly.
it’s just another tool in the box. And at the end of the day, it’s not the only feature on this release. There is also RGB waveforms for all devices, on device track rating and the ability to customise the scroll wheel so it auto brings the library up just by twisting it.
Agreed the Rane System One aside from the whole “stem issue” is an amazing unit, for all versions of DJ’ing, though I lean towards the 4 deck style with and and without sync. But on units like the the DenonDJ series and now Rane which on some have the aux input, harddrive bay, and can record ( not recording of streaming services ) and the equalizer for mastering and of the course the basic high mid and low the unit really is an add on, but for me as I sit right now on DenonDJ SC5000’S/SC5000M’S, and the Reloop Mixtour Pro, Reloop Ready, Pioneer ddj rev 5, AlpahTheta ddj grv 6 to name a few, just waiting on my end the full on end of story to the marketing story for the Rane System One. For now my goal is some private time with the Rane System One before finally purchasing and if it does exactly everything it is advertised to do and of course the Swiss Army knife of dj software combined with this unit ( like with the Denon DJ units, yes a Prime 4 and Algoriddim does pair nicely) is a solid addition.
Apparently, the vestax spin, made for djay pro, was the first, if not only dj controller to be sold in the Apple Store years ago.
