You’re welcome @eyeseeyou01. Understood.
NOTICE: I’ve mentioned this several times already in this topic, but here it is again just in case people continue to miss it.
Just a friendly reminder, generic topics like this are great for brainstorming ideas with other like minded users. However, if you want any of these ideas to gain traction with our dev team, you need to post your comments in an existing related Suggestion topic (please use the Search Tool) or create a new Suggestion for each idea. This allows other users to upvote your single idea and for me to properly track and report the feature to the devs. So, please understand this is not a suitable place for me to gather feature suggestions for our development team. Thanks!
A better map in Rane Four.
Definitely!! Drives me mad that I can’t see the extra decimal point! Doesn’t seem”Pro” when you can’t see the extra decimal point….
This exists already as a MIDI command called “Toggle Library Extended View”. As the name implies, the Library list view is expanded, similar in style to how Traktor does this.
Djay saved me last night at a gig. For some reason, The latest Serato is acting weird with my Rev-7. The platters are moving in a weird jittery way, like they are misreading timecode or something… Djay worked normally. Might have to drop back a version of Serato. Damn happy Djay can just pull up my Serato crates!
That’s great news! Thanks for sharing @Wuli.
Hmm. Yeah, one of my issues with Djay. Why is the library not just the library. The split between crates in the bottom and the top always baffled me… My library is my collection full stop. The split between the bottom library and the top is annoying and frustrating.
Please make a new topic for this and clarify with some screenshots @Wuli
I’m still on 3.5.5, glad Djay was able to come to the rescue for you. I hear nothing but problems with Serato 4.x.x
3 Decks? (1 2 3) . Like 4 decks view … but with 3 ![]()
More Hori space for each deck > UI bigger
Horizontal and vertical waveform options.
3 = 2 Controler + 1 DVS
Colour/Mixer FX options on the filter knob. Standard on the other platforms (Traktor, Pioneer, Serato)
Readability of the waveform is may be one important step forward. There should be indicators to show the periods of vocals so that it will easier to avoid vocal clashes.
Also there is already “Loop in/half” and “loop out/half” in the midi mapping, but it doesn’t seem to work as it should. It would be great to have a 2nd possibility to select the second half of loop when halving the loop.
Also it wood be good if we can have 2 layers of 8 FX pads instead of only 1 layer. (same as last update for which we now 16hot cues instead of just 8)
I also wish some improvement in the library management, I have many buttons to use in my GRV 6 for labrary management, by I couldn’t find as many fonctionnalities in DJAY, resulting in limited management
Thanks for the input @Mohamed_Brahim
Pfff i just woke up, this is the second time i dreamt about this: vocal start detection… so when the singing starts in a song… and that they (algo.) were laughing while creating it… it’s so easy one of the developers shouted, we already have stems.. we know when that vocal starts…
anyway, just wanted to share that dream.
When I was playing around with virtual dj 2026, I was surprised how useful their AI vocal lyric detection was. I ended using it all the time, to know when the vocal was coming in and out on unfamiliar tracks. Which meant I knew when to transition my mixes with real confidence.
Shouldn’t be hard to implement as it’s basically the vocal stem turned into a colored line or markers or something, right?
Maybe turn this into a separate feature request?
Exactly right. Although with developing “there is always somathing”. But i guess it will be nof that hard… right @Slak_Jaw ?
I not a developer so I can’t comment on the complexity @jefuqs
Ha i understand, but you talk to them from time to time?
Another dream function: midi shortcuts to playlist of choice.
