New update same problems. No new features added for windows that is already in MAC/IOS no parity and my flac file issue still exist. Also testing using iTunes files gives me an error on my iPhone 15 for the files in iTunes music. But works normal for my desktop that the files were to my music library. This is the reason why I do only local files only less of a chance for something to go wrong. Guess I will wait for the next update to see what happens. 
[Slak Jaw] any new news on the flac file situation I am having? Did the engineering team review my file and what did they find out?

Hope you had a great vacation. But with the new update Djay Pro 5.1 is now literally useless to me. No flac files will decode or play. All my files are local. I am upset but what can I do.

With the new Djay Pro 5.1 update all my flac files are now not being decoded and are now fully useless for this software it keeps getting worse. I am now fully frustrated, because it is now truly getting worse for me with every new update.
More detail required. I just loaded a couple of flac files here and they play fine.
Latest version of DJay Pro and Windows 11.
Latest version of Djay Pro 5 with the latest version of windows, and these are files that use to play before the new Djay Pro 5.1 update. Flac files not being decoded properly in windows - Bug Reports - Algoriddim Community Forums. I have been talking about this since the beta version of windows until now. You can see my many posts about this. I also have submitted file to be looked at by the engineering team with no response and solution from the team I am trying to figure out what more info you need. Not to sound sarcastic but I think I have sent enough info to detail the problem that I am having. This is the newest screen shot of what is happing. Now the whole flac files are not being decoded.

I can now play my flac files again on windows with the new update. 
But the reading of the meta data for flac files are still limited same as the original beta to a few tag fields and it is random at best, and you have to rescan the flac files every time you start the program. 
. Also, a lot of my key are being reported wrong whenever I analyzed the tracks even though the correct keys are in the meta data of the flac files. That changes the ability to mix in key and the ability to correct the wrong keys because there is no ability to edit any tag fields in windows version. Still wait for the MAC/IOS parity for windows. Apple music recommendations is truly horrible seem as if it is only doing genre only. No BPM range or key or anything else. but I am more looking for local file match base on setting that I can adjust. Can we get the ability to scan for BPM and beat grid only, so my key doesn’t get affected?

No, it is not solved because while it works with Aiff file if the keys are detected properly, it does not work with flac file because as I have been saying since the beta of Djay Pro 5 for windows that the program cannot reads the meta data for flac files, it is random crap shoot. Today it reads a few flac files then 15 minutes after it’s reads a few different files. It’s over a year since I reported this problem with Djay Pro inability to process meta data for flac files with no resolution. The reason why I didn’t respond earlier to your solution is that after about one year reporting a problem. I realized that my problem is not a priority. But only to me, I have over 50,000 flac tracks with all the meta data in them. But Djay Pro is the only DJ program that doesn’t decode the meta data for flac file properly. Also, if you can’t even edit the key for a track when the program gets it wrong then how will match work as it should, that’s a very important field for match to work as it is intended.

Specifically, what other DJ software are you referring to here where decoding of FLAC files on Windows is working as expected? From my recent discussions with our engineering team, it seems that the issue is related to the Windows metadata APIs which would mean this is likely an issue on other DJ software as well. If it is working on other Windows platform software, then this will be helpful information for our engineering team. Thanks!
Traktor Pro 4 latest, Rekordbox 7 latest, Virtual DJ 2024 latest, Serato DJ Pro v3 latest, Engine DJ 4 latest, Even Traktor DJ 2 and Deckadance DJ 2 that have been discontinued now for years still reads the meta data properly. Plus, various other media players/tag editors on windows reads the flac meta data properly. Maybe I am the only one having this problem, but I would find that hard to believe and if I am wrong then I guess this software his just not compatible with my flac files. But for some clarity if I use a file converter (dBpoweramp) and convert any of the flac file to aiff file Djay will see all the meta data that was already there but is now converted over from the flac file to aiff. So, I don’t think it’s a windows problem as you stated but a Djay Pro 5 problem. If after a year and no one has figure this out.

Just to clarify that the ability to play flac files has be fixed, yes that was one of the original issues. What I am referring to is the ability to read the meta data of flac file. Some files meta data are only read after you load the track into the decks and press play. Sometimes it will sometimes it won’t read the information. This will make match not work because the BPM, Keys, etc., is not being taking into account because it’s not seeing the info. For instant the comment field has never been showing up for flac files even though meta data for it is in the file.
