Having a 'Not in Playlists' View

New ‘Not in Playlists’ View

I’d like to suggest an enhancement to Djay’s playlist management in the ‘Local Music’ section. For me, it would be incredibly helpful to automatically include a view in the playlist overview called ‘Not in Playlists’. This would display tracks that are not (or are no longer) part of any playlist in ‘My Collection.’

This feature would make it much easier to quickly identify tracks that might still need to be assigned to one of your playlists or deleted from the database. It’s a small change, but it could greatly improve workflow efficiency when organizing music collections.

When you also like to have this simple, but efficient feature, please give your vote in the upper left box.

Thanks for the suggestion @DJ_Big_Blender. Good idea. I have forwarded this to the dev team for consideration.

(yes, I voted)

I like this idea a lot…thank you for the suggestion.
:+1:t3:

I thought of the idea, a while ago, to have an option for the library drop-down menu titled, “Show Unavailable Tracks” and also “Show Duplicated Tracks”. This would alleviate the hours of scrolling, locating and removing any unavailable (greyed-out) and duplicates of tracks within My Collection

Yes!
Thank you DJ Norm!!

This would be a more than welcome addition to my request as well!

Great Idea.

I also would love to see in wich Playlists the Song is.
If you right click in Itunes it gives you the option “show in playlists”.

That is very helpful as well

Hi René,

I know exactly what you mean—I had that wish too! Thanks for the support, by the way. I hesitated to bring it up because the list of features users would love to see (and developers have to build) already feels like years’ worth of work, in my opinion.

I didn’t want to add too much more to that, even for such a simple change, risking it being seen as too big of an update and not being implemented at all—or only much later.

@Slak_Jaw could you ask for this as well.
