It works great with the SB2! Everything is mapped correctly.
The only thing I would advise is to buy it straight from Algoriddim. The FX Pack has issues if you purchase djay pro through the App Store. Learned this one the hard way.
djay officially supports the DDJ-SB2 now. Just plug and play. Not sure how Miles download is different. Who knows? Algorriddim probably piggy backed off his work.
I’m confused. Djay Pro works with almost zero setup. Its a native application for the SB-2 since last Christmas.
If you are having trouble, its your Mac or your controller. I’ve used it almost a year now with my SB2 and it works flawlessly. Without any hacks or workarounds.
There are only 9 controllers that work with the LE version. Basically, the ones that have the official certification:
RELOOP
Beatpad
Mixon 4
PIONEER
DJWeGO 1, 2 and 3
NUMARK
Mixdeck Quad
IDJLive II
Plus, there are a few features that have been disabled. $50 isn’t that much for all the features you’re missing out on. Plus, you’d be supporting the company that developed such awesome software.
In addition, LE will not work as a standalone application. You have to use those specific controllers.
the DDJ SB-2 is natively supported by djay Pro. If you are looking for the serrate or virtual dj mapping for your controller, please contact the correspondingly forum.
Shawn Waldrop meant that you mix with the SB2 by simply connecting it to your Mac and djay Pro.
Are you facing any difficulties or do you have further questions?
If you want your Laptop Jack to be mapped as the main output while using the DDJ-SB2, change your sound device settings to “Main Output : Built In” as seen in the attached screenshot:
