Here the video, as u can see the song cut out when i load it back up it fine
Thanks for the video @djfeliz.
- So you do not have any hardware connected when this happens?
- Have the songs been fully analyzed first or does this only happen when playing a song for the first time?
- What file format are you using?
- Are the songs stored on your internal Mac drive?
- How much free space is remaining on your internal drive?
- Are you running any other Apps in the background?
Hello! It’s been a week since my last reply. I’m going to consider this topic completed for now so I can focus on others. However, please feel free to respond and we can definitely revisit this. Thanks!
Happened to me a few times mid set the last 2 weeks.

Hi @djfeliz and @jmoak311, I have merged this topic with an existing one as I believe they are closely related.
- Can you please confirm if this issue happens with file formats other than M4A, FLAC or AIFF?
- Are you using iCloud Syncing, and if so, is the Status: Active?
Sorry I never replied. This has not happened to me live YET! But am scared it might one day soon if it’s not fixed. It’s happened a couple of time while practicing.

Thanks for the info @megaman24
Hi again @megaman24, @jmoak311, @djfeliz, @Michael_Sumner, can you each please send me a DM with some example song files that you’ve had this issue with? Our engineering team has still not been able to reproduce this issue on their end. Thanks!
It happens randomly. Not a specific song. One day the song could load up and play perfectly, but then another day, it can load up but then abruptly sound stops and waveform disappears for a few seconds. I already sent a video of it but if I happen to be screen recording and it does it again, then I will send over. All my music files are FLAC btw.
Thanks for the follow up @megaman24
Will try to get you info asap. I’m back to work teaching and my dad is in hospital so I’m trying to get around to it.
No rush @jmoak311. Sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he recovers quickly.
I’m still working on it myself. Typically it won’t happen when I want it to at home. Therefore it must be a gremlin just waiting for the right time. I’ve been getting over the problem when playing out by not using automix for too long, i.e. pausing and manually mixing. However I get the feeling it could be to do with memory. Although Djay Pro works on 8gb of RAM I suspect your engineers are testing it on a more powerful machine than my own 2014 Mac
Hi again @megaman24, @jmoak311, @djfeliz, @Michael_Sumner, can you each please confirm where your music files are physically located (internal SSD, external SSD, USB drive, etc.)? Also, are you using iCloud Drive? Thanks!
My files are all internal HD on the laptop
Thanks @megaman24
All files stored locally on hard drive. no iCloud, no streaming. All local.
Thanks @Michael_Sumner
