Pioneer DDJ REV5 jog wheels not accurate

will this only be for the rev 5 or is the rev 1 included also?

This is specifically for the REV5 @Five-0. Are you saying the REV1 jogwheels have a similar issue? If so, please create a new topic for this so I can report it to our engineering team. Thanks!

Yes the Rev 1 has issues and also the Hercules Djcontrol Mix Ultra which you can’t touch both platters at the same time. Also the DDJ SR2 same as the Rev’s

I used a text editor to change my settings. It’s a little better.. I ran Serato side by side in test with Djay. The level of control is much better with Serato it’s mainly in the release of the track. It’s a slight delay when using Djay compared to Serato.

Just tried the new update. …. It’s a little better. But does not compare to Serato.. just try pulling the jog wheel back and release the song a few times in Serato then again in djay.

Thanks for the feedback @Five-0

Actually after doing my scratch practice routine I confirm it’s NOT better.

Thx for your feedback.
I will try to test it this weekend.
Tony.

Thanks for the additional feedback @Five-0. I’ll let the team know.

I used the clubs FLX10 last night at the club and the jogs feels the same as Serato….. guess the Rev 5 jogs are more difficult to get perfect. Hope they can nail this soon I really love my Rev 5 & only purchased because you guess said it was supported.. supported in my book means works flawlessly. Y’all should add this to your list of problems with units like you do the screens. I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED!!! I mean if the tight jogs is not a concern then the unit is ok. But not for me

Unfortunately @Slak_Jaw it’s not as accurate as serato…
I think that the manual setting we did is what is implemented now in this new release. But…
REV5 is a controller used by many DJs from vinyls decks, so jog screen accuracy must be tight.
Come on guys !! Serato is better than you ?

Tony.

Thanks for the additional feedback @Five-0 and @DJTonyBlanck. I’ll let the devs know.

Do we need to start another bug request or is this one still active for the dev team?

This topic is still active @Five-0

Praying the next update fixes the jog issue

Any update on if the jogs are gonna be corrected? This is my only problem with djay and the Rev 5. Unfortunately this is my main controller ? I’m using the Rev 1 in the meantime

Hi @Five-0, we don’t have any updates to share at the moment. I will post here when we do though.

Download 5.3.3. Problem not fixed

You are correct @Five-0. An improvement for this was not indicated in the 5.3.3 release notes. Our hardware engineering team is still working on this.
