Kind of a manual hack, but if you want to, you can just save your spotify streams to mp3s and then just dump them into your itunes. There are multiple apps to do so.
For anyone looking for a resolution to this issue:
I have posted a request on the Spotify Community Forum.
Itâs a request to create something called Spotify Pro. This advanced subscription would allow third parties to cache, sample, and perform offline activities. This would be a resolution to the issue which holds Djay Pro back. Please consider supporting this request in the Spotify community. Hopefully they will consider this for the future.
I have created an idea for a request to integrate Pulselocker. Please support this.

Since Spotify already has offline mode, it clearly contains the music. I assume it is in encrypted files - to avoid easy copying - that is in some form of file or files. Djay markets the app as integrated with Spotify, and it is natural to believe that when Djay says it is integrated, it is fully integrated. But it is not. If it were truly fully integrated, Djay would be able to access any music Spotify can access. But Djay can not access all the music that Spotify can; Djay can not access Spotifyâs offline (downloaded) music. You can call it cache or whatever you like; you can blame it on âsandboxing,â Apple IOS policy, or whatever; but the bottom line is Djay marketed it as having access to all of Spotifyâs music, and it does not have access to Spotifyâs downloaded (offline) music. Me and thousands of customers have been misled by Djays false marketing, and all we ask is that Djay fix the problem, not refund thousands of customers.
Iâm sure this has to do with Spotifyâs TOS directly and the contracts/agreements they have signed with record labels to distribute materials. I donât think Algoriddim has any control nor can do anything about this.

Spotfy has a feature to save playlists and play them without wifi. This would be a nice feature to have on djay when you are using a spotfy playlist in a place without wifi or with a weak wifi signal.
Spotify will never work to solve the problem because with their service songs canât be played in public. Not a big deal. If youâre on Android get Easytether in the Google Play store and use it as your internet connection. Iâm on Sprint and it works great.
Yep, on an Android EasyTether does the same thing.
Im hoping thats not the case as I have a lot of respect for what theyâve done so far. I left the world of Serato and Traktor (along with my closest dj friends) and we couldnât be happier.
Great app! Been dreaming of this for years.
Offline access to spotify playlists would be handy but good to read that tunes are cached, so using a hotspot doesnât eat up data.
There are several Android applications that whatever of having a premium Spotify allows you to download lists ⌠Why not in djay

Hey, Tracy! I really donât understand this public performance issue. Clubs, cafes, restaurants are paying fees for music to be performed in public. Therefore^ Spotify is just a mean as any others like CDs, LPs, etc.
I bought is yesterday⌠and have a gig in 2 hours⌠not so nice that i just found out that i need internet! Damn

Hi one and allâŚ
Stop LYING!!!
The IS something you can do against âsandboxingâ.
Release the standalone version for purchase and donwload from your own algoriddim servers and youâre done. Stop LYING!
âDevelopers found themselves having to make a hard choice â severely degrade the functionality of their software or leave the MAS. Consequently, entire categories of apps cannot be distributed via the MAS because they cannot be sandboxed without crippling their feature set.â

Algoriddim just turned to another completely money driven company.
Stop eating our nerves with false information.
As Stuart Ross says 4 days ago:
"Thanks for that, bachya, it would appear that Algoriddim endorse your explanation. However, I do think they should make it clearer that a *permanent* internet connection is required, and should use more explicit wording such as âOffline mode is NOT supported.â
You guys at algoriddim should be sued for providing unclear information leading customers in the wrong direction.
I URGE anyone, who got bought into this eyewash, to get their money back from the mac app store.
Alogiriddim should see then for a proper solution. Actually the situation is not acceptable.
Iâm replying here to make some things clear about the âtruthâ of âsandboxingâ and software companies.
Breaking down everything that algoriddim was whining about âsorry we canât help, blame sandboxingâ in one single FACT: âDevelopers found themselves having to make a hard choice â severely degrade the functionality of their software or leave the MAS. Consequently, entire categories of apps cannot be distributed via the MAS because they cannot be sandboxed without crippling their feature set.â

In short: if algoriddim would provide their desktop software via their own distribution, djing your spotify offline tracks would be no problem at all.
Itâs pure marketing decisions by algoriddim. At our expenses and nothing less.
Can I suggest something to the devs? I donât think the issue is having internet connection as such (using cellular data or just using my phone as an access point), the problem is using a lot of data to download every song.
I noticed that Djay âremembersâ the tracks after theyâve been played once. Would it be possible to download a whole playlist, for example? That way, the cellular network would only be used for authentication to Spotify, and not for downloading all the tracks.

We need our OFFLINE playlists please. I just purchased a controller and the djay pro software with the effects bundle! just to be denied my playlists?? you canât depend on comcast to get our gigs done. wifi is unreliable and if this software runs on wifi only then the software is not reliable. Iâm very disapointed. as soon as i loose signal, music and playlists disappear! not good! back to serato and spotify on my iPad going thru the aux until this is figured outâŚ
Spotify integration works great, integration with Numark mixtrack works like a charm, itâs such a pity I can only use it in venues with a reliable internet connection.
So great product, please talk to Spotify to make that final push to be an amazing product.
