This was my third song in. Apology for no audio, but you can see where I set the loop then hit the hot cue, but it played through the loop then swapped. Quantize is set to 1 beat so it doesn’t make sense that it played through 8 even if I was late.
I cant seem to replicate it with quantize off so I think it has something to do with that. I’ve been able to replicate it on 1/2,1/4 and 1/8 beat.
Just to clarify. I hit the cue at the beginning of the second tracks phrase. You can see when I hit the hot cue, the loop ended and without hitting another input, jumped at the end of where it was supposed to initially jump.
Hi @Austinjacobm94, sorry for the delayed reply. Thanks for the video and additional info. Can you please also provide full details about your setup? In the meantime, I will pass this onto our engineering team to see if they can replicate it. Thanks!

I set my loops with the twister knobs, then save and activate the cues using my dicers.
Thanks for the additional details @Austinjacobm94. I’ve passed this onto our engineering team to see if they can replicate it.
I’ve made a full view video of my entire setup and explanation with multiple examples. I hope this is logged as an official bug. I simply can’t use hot cue loops at the moment.
Hi again @Austinjacobm94, I’ve tried several times to watch and/or download your video. There seems to be an issue with it. Can you please try to upload it again and ensure that you have sharing permissions enabled? Thanks!
Here’s a YouTube link. Hopefully this one will work better. Freshly uploaded but should process to HD soon. https://youtu.be/ArT4mzOxdHM?si=d6eGSH2jJyE40RaF
Thanks for the YouTube link @Austinjacobm94. That worked. Perfect demonstration of the issue as well. I’ve passed this onto our engineering team for further analysis and will report back when I have news. Thanks again!
Hi again @Austinjacobm94, can you please try turning Key Lock OFF for both decks and retesting? If you can also reproduce this with Key Lock OFF, please capture and share another video. Thanks!
Video is uploading. It’s 11 minutes long so I’ll give you the recap. I started it off with beat sync on and I couldn’t get it to reproduce though I didn’t try for very long as it’s not my ideal way to play I was just looking for work arounds when I last had it setup.
I turned beat sync off and key lock off. I could not get it to reproduce. I also noticed it was much much snappier when jumping to my cues.
I then turned key lock on and after a couple tries I could get it to reproduce again. Even when it didn’t reproduce the cues were visually lagging. You could see on the display where it was hesitating to jump. You could see the greyed out loop for a second before jumping over. This was all done under 1 beat quantize.
I think your team is onto something.
Following that I was going back and forth between key lock on and off and I could always get it to reproduce when on, but not off.
Thanks for confirming @Austinjacobm94. I will share this with the team…
8 posts were merged into an existing topic: Neural Mix delay - iPhone 11, MacBook Air 2015
Hey I saw the topic was merged but are you sure it’s the same issue? I see a lot of people claim to have key lock off and I’d hate for the issue I have to be buried since it’s pretty critical in my view.
Hi @Austinjacobm94, we are pretty sure these are related.
Hello
I am having a problem with djay Pro on my Mac. When I press a hot cue button; the sound plays late instead of instantly. I turned Quantize off; but the delay is still there. It happens even if I don’t use a controller, just with my keyboard / mouse.
I checked my Mac’s performance and it looks normal (CPU and memory are fine). I also tried turning off Neural Mix but the delay still happens. I read that some people fix this with Buffer Size settings but I can not find that option on macOS.
Checked Cue points slow to respond guide for reference.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Is there a setting I can change to fix the hot cue delay, or is it something with djay Pro on Mac? Any tips would be great.
Thank you !!
Hi @sopelos, welcome to the Community! I’ve merged your new topic with this existing one. Please see above and confirm if this is similar to what you are experiencing. Please also provide full details for your setup.

It’s a current problem. Turning off keylock seems to remedy the issue slightly but no fix as of yet. My biggest gripe with djay at the moment I hope it’s high on the priority list.
