I used to work with Djay pro on Mac OS (M4max) with the Reloop Mixon 8 pro.
It works out of the box with all features. I use it at a night club setting.
I wanted to change to a motorized controller, so I decided to order an Rane Perfomer (newest firmware from today, v1.3.0.13 (Latest Version)) since there is support for Djay Pro ( 5.4.2)
On the website it says to Rane controllers:
RANE PERFORMER: Display modes, playlist titles and icons, Neural Mix support for waveforms on jog wheels
RANE SEVENTY-TWO: Waveform display, djay FX (note: requires holding SHIFT when selecting performance pad modes)
RANE SEVENTY-TWO MKII: Waveform display, djay FX (note: requires holding SHIFT when selecting performance pad modes)
On my Rane Perfomer it requires holding SHIFT when selecting performance pad modes, even although it is not listed for the performer. Is there a setting to double touch as I do it on the Mixon 8 pro?
Is there a button to change the the EQ knobs to stems and back to EQ HIGH = VOCAL, MID = MELODY/BASS, LOW = DRUMS on the controller.
If a song has enden the mixon 8 pro just stop the song at the end. The Rane perfomer keeps playing, while I see an empty waveform on Djay pro software that gets going and going indicated by rasing numbers. I like, that the song stops at the end of the song.
If there is an update planned to add all features like the Mixon 8 Pro

Hi Pat, this can be achieved by: holding shift and pressing the cue-button of the channel you want to put to neural mix eq.
The cue button lights up, when neural EQ mode is active.
About not ending when a track ends: I believe this is a wanted behavior, as it represents the original turntable way.
I refer to my inital not answered question with the following numbers. So No. 2 is answered so far.
But there are more.
Maybe someone can confirm if this is intentional ?
Is there a way in DJAY pro to change this behavior? It should be done within the software?
I played around a little bit with the RANE and Djay pro, I don´t understand, why it is not possible from Djay pro in the software to support all of the features and buttons of the RANE.
The feature with the performance pads to hold one and push another pad, to split the the upper and lower pads in two different performance modes is also not available.
I also don´t understand, that for Djay pro is it not possible to program and access the jogwheel displays to add the second and third view like in serato.
I orderd the RANE but can send it back within 30 days. So I am not sure yet to keep my full featured Mixon 8 pro or to change to the Rane performer.
If Djay pro would say, there will be software updates with full support in the near future I will keep the rane performer.
There is no “double touch” option on the Performer like with the Mixon 8 Pro.
To Toggle Neural Mix EQ and regular EQ, press SHIFT+ Headphone Cue
There is currently no setting to change this behaviour. This is the same for all motorized controllers used with djay.
Drivers are required with non-class compliant devices like this. This is a hardware limitation that would need to be changed by the manufacturer and is beyond our control. The team is looking into the other limitations you listed, but we don’t have any news or timelines to share regarding them.
Sometimes the screen in the jogwheel went dark or just show the logo. You either turn of the whole device to get rid of this error (what is not possible during DJing) or you wait. Sometimes it came back after a long time.
2)Stems are not precise. I tried a RnB song on the rane performer and on the mixon 8 pro.
on the rane performer when I used the EQ knobs to cut everything but just the vocals, it sounded very silent and metal tinny.
Same on the mixon 8 pro sound perfect as it should.
on the rane performer there is not always an perfect stem split.
Is there a change that this will be fixed with a combination of hardware update (rane) and software update (DJAY pro)?
Or is this rane policy to just support the serato software 100% and let other Djay software with bugs, to try DJs to change to serato?
Now I worked a few time with the Rane Perfomer to try it in a live set. I let my reloop mixon pro 8 at home. Working with the perfomer is fun. But the downside is the fact, that Djay Pro is not fully supported with Djay pro. But I will not change to serato, cause I like Djay pro way better.
It would be very nice, to support the Rane more in future updates.

I will try to reproduce it and make a audiofile. I learned that maybe there is an EQ problem when you turn the RANE on. Sometimes the EQ setting for channel 1 and 2 seems they are not in the middle and are not displayed as so in Djay pro (it displays middle but it isn´t)
My workaround. Turn the eq button one time left right middle to turn the eq to the default middle setting. Don´t know why this happens sometimes.
But than;
if you change with SHIFT+CUE from Neural to EQ the EQ´s in Djay pro doesn´t reflect the setting of the controller. They stay in the middle don´t move at all. (fixed by myself → mapping was wrong, but doesn´t stay when you close Djay Pro and open it again)
Samples on channel 4: With Djay pro the button “ASSIGN to 4” is not working below the Sampler knob. With serato it works fine. If it would work, you can add some h/w effects to the samples. Can you update this?
Is it possible to work on the general sample assignment in Djay pro. In Serato you can drag an drop the samples on the place you want to be. in Djay the sample are kinda hard to handle. Drag and Drop would be a better way to assign the samples. Maybe you can implement the same way how you handle samples. There are more option with each assigned sample. Maybe you can update this.

in 2-Deckview:
Changing from Deck 1 to 3 or 2 to 4 with the buttons, don´t change the deck view on Djay pro. THE view stays on 1 or 2. Although in Serato in 2 Deck view, the displayed decks changes how you choose the decks on the controller.
Can you update this? Why does it work in serato well?

That is correct. AutoCue is not supported on External Mixer Mode devices like the RANE Performer.
Friends, I am considering getting Mixon 8 pro or is there a better option. Does Mixon 8 pro have any issues like it did when it first released. I’m a very mobile DJ.
After some research I went with Mixon 8 pro which seems great for my kind of work and got brand new for under $1k. Plus I am already fimiliar with the board. Thanks for your help.

a) I learned that there is an EQ problem when you turn the RANE on.
The EQ setting for channel 1 and 2 are not the middle. If you want to control the stems with EQ the stems are not working.
My workaround so far: Turn all the eq button one time left right middle to turn the eq to the default middle setting. After this everything works fine. Please fix this.

I disabled the title view in jogwheel to prevent this, but it still happend.
b) please add a kind of a software reset to rest the displays during live sessions. I need to turn off and on the controller to reset, what is almost impossible to do.
a reset possibility would be good.
