Thank you! I really love the software and as a brand new DJ, the features and especially the Neural Mix are just game changing.
What frustrated me (and also other DJs) is the lack of clear communication from Djay Pro, the “finger pointing” back to SoundCloud, and the DJay Pro not doing their own testing to truly confirm were the issue was, and how long the issue went on (and it’s still going on).
Clear and better communication/customer service would have made this situation a lot better.
Yeah i feel you.I mean these forum is cool and a great idea but i dosent make sense when algorithmen dont really use it and give the same answers everytime. That the tracks are greyed out is a big problem and many people have this issue but you cant fix it for 3-4 months? What the fuck?
I don’t know if this has been mentioned before, but the greying out of tracks is actually inconsistent between MacOS and iOS, see attached screenshots of the same playlists… Both are running v5.2.5!
Hello everyone, sorry for the delay in responding to this issue over the last few days.
We want to provide clarity regarding the ongoing issues where certain tracks remain consistently unavailable through the SoundCloud integration in djay. We’ve been in active communication with SoundCloud and are working closely with them to help resolve this as quickly as possible.
As some of you have noticed, this issue is specific to the integration between SoundCloud and djay. It stems from a configuration issue on SoundCloud’s end, where djay’s access rights were not properly restored following a server update in early October.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working with SoundCloud so they can resolve this issue. Please rest assured that we are just as eager as you are to see this issue fixed.
To clarify, this problem is limited to the SoundCloud integration in djay. If you require immediate access to all music, we recommend migrating your playlists to one of the other streaming services supported in djay, none of which have this issue. This can be done using a migration tool that allows you to transfer playlists between services. At the moment, Apple Music and TIDAL offer libraries that are most similar to SoundCloud. Please follow the TuneMyMusic links below:
Thanks again for your understanding, and we will keep you updated on progress.
EDIT: I have temporarily marked this comment as the solution so that it’s easy to locate within this long thread. I will adjust this as appropriate when new information comes in. Thanks!
EXACTLY! This is what I did straight away. I can’t understand why people are getting so aggressive about it. As soon as it seemed like there was an issue, I changed to Apple Music. If and when it gets resolved, I will go back to SoundCloud. Easy!
I think you have to understand the larger issue is that Djay Pro kept on making it seems like it was an SoundCloud, gave tips that they themselves didn’t test out, and didn’t communicate directly with the community of DJs that pay for and use their product: about the issue that’s where the frustration comes in.
Hi @Chanterie_Julien, thank you for the feedback. The idea presented above was to transfer your music to a new service and cancel or pause your previous subscription. Please note that we also offer a large and growing library of free streaming music built right into djay. I hope that helps. Thanks!
Hi @kaizenmaven, thanks for the additional feedback. If you carefully read our statement above, you will see that this remains a SoundCloud issue that needs to be addressed on their end. The new information is that this issue appears to be isolated to the SoundCloud integration with djay. Please also understand that this has been an evolving issue and we have been trying to share as much information and tips as we can while isolating and troubleshooting the problem with SoundCloud. Also, the tips suggested did initially seem to solve the issue for some users.
Thanks for understanding and please know that we want this fixed as much as you do.
Still no solution on this? I have a gig tomorrow and I really need this app to be working properly. Haven´t used the software in a while, so I got really disappointed when I realized that the app was broken…
Hi @Williams, thanks for reaching out. To clarify, the djay app is not broken. The full integration of SoundCloud with djay is not working with some SoundCloud GO+ tracks causing the “grayed out song issue”.
If you have a gig tomorrow and some of the SC GO+ songs you need are in fact grayed out, then I recommend you use the TuneMyMusic links above to transfer your playlists to Apple Music or TIDAL. Alternatively, you could purchase the individual songs that are grayed out and add them to your Local Music djay library. This will also protect you in case there is an internet our cellular data access issue during your gig. This has personally happened to me more than once at a gig and I was very glad to have a bunch of backup songs stored on my device. I hope that helps.
