Before I go out and buy a powered Xone:K2 and a powered USB hub for my X1s, do they work on iOS? (I want a really tight/compact DJ setup with no jogwheels. I like buttons/knobs/faders.) I understand I would need to create a mapping. The reason I ask is, I tried plugging my Kontrol Z1 into my iPad/iPhone, and despite there being a MIDI mode in the Z1, it doesn’t work on iOS. Thanks.

Xone:K2 LED mapping problem

Hi There, I have a pretty funny problem with mapping LEDs on my K2 which I do not really understand: The K2 has knobs for each channel that I use for EQ. It also has buttons below each of these knobs that I use for Kill EQ. The Buttons for Kill EQ are set to Midi out as well to light up whenever Kill EQ is engaged, without any special configuration, so e.g. for Kill Low EQ button on Deck 1: Target: Deck 1 Action: Kill Low EQ Type: Button Mode: Default MIDI Out enabled with Advanced config…

I winder if there might be. resource for a clear mapping for the K2.
I’m new to all if this and just want to make sure it works before I purchase it.
I have the reload buddy but don’t like the jog wheels and the fact that I can’t control the kids when its in EQ. I also have the mixtour but I want something USB powered for portability with my iPad Pro and also I love having 4 tracks in a slim format, hence the K2.

You’re welcome @lisaluna. There is no specific resource for MIDI mapping the K2. We only have a general guide for MIDI Mapping on iOS. I recommend you purchase the K2 from a shop with a good return policy in case you encounter issues. You could also try sending a private message to the users in the other threads I shared. Perhaps one of them can provide more details on their K2 experience and share the mapping they created.
