Enable Neural Mix Pre-Analysis when “1-Track NM Waveform” Option is Selected

Can the team make the 1-track option here force djay to analyze (calculate) neural mix on song load.
As of now, it’s only the 2,3 and 4 track option that actually analyzes neural mix and so avails it instantly when u need, albeit, it’s not very easy dj’ing with all those waveform tracks on screen.
We have been complaining of how neural mix had a lag on activation (e.g vocal solo would kick in a few beats down the line after clicking)…and there has been no tangible solution (even turning off keylock either didn’t work or was not acceptable to many)
I link here all posts related to this delay, and urge engineers to make this button above be the solution. Let the 1-track button pre-calculate neuralmix please.

Hercules T7 - Stems have delay when activating and deactivating

My stems are not activating instantly, there’s a slight delay, like .25 seconds, before the stem activates or deactivates. I’m on MacOS with an M1 Macbook Pro, and using a Hercules T7. Quantize is off. This also only happens with the Hercules connected. With just my Macbook alone not connecting to any controller, the stems activate instantly. Anyone else experienced this or know a fix? On Sequoia 15.1.1 DJay Pro 5.3.1 Thanks!

Neural Mix delay - iPhone 11, MacBook Air 2015

I was mixing on my iPhone 11 at first When I activate Neura Mix I noticed there is a bit of delay before the stem is activated Then also sometimes the music skips It happens also on my MacBook Air 2015 Meanwhile the music has been analyzed correctly I will drop a video of my issue

Delay in Neural Mix when Key Lock is Enabled

Hello, unfortunately, I’ve noticed delays when applying Neural Mix while simultaneously not playing a song at its original speed with KeyLock activated. It seems that Neural Mix and KeyLock don’t work well together. I encountered this issue on a MacBook M1, iPhone 11, and iPad 9, with Neural Mix quality set to 100% in each case. Delay when activating Neural Mix? - Djay Pro 5.0x

Is it just my setup or does anyone else have issues with Neural mix taking almost a second to kick in when muting one of the stems for the first time on every loaded track? Using the MacOS version on a 2019 Intel macbook air i5 with 16 gigs, so not the newest, but should still be able to cope IMO, as it works fine with Rekordbox and Traktor.

Honestly, to suggest that a 9th or 10th Gen i7 intel processor with 18Gig RAM is not capable of running djay neuralmix is to admit that the entire app is heavier than all others in the dj industry - serato does fine on them! Sorry am not bursting your balls here.

Mixtour Po Neural Mix Buttons Not Functioning Properly

Hi @Noah1, here are a couple of things to try: Turn Keylock OFF Switch to the Neural Mix split waveform view. This forces djay to analyze the STEMs parts when the track is first loaded rather than when you enable a Neural Mix function. [IMG_0232]

Well the solution already exists..
You can prepare your tracks with

Neural Mix™ Pro

and export all stuff you need.

As technical point of view, the stem separation is a tough mathematical problem for CPU’s.
So there will be delays.

The delays will be long, if you are using streamed stuff.
As the app needs to wait the download to be completed.

So if you want to non delay option, only way to get it is to buy the track and separate the stems before gigs.

Why keylock - stem separation doesn’t work together?

Well to get accurate stem separtation, it will be more challenging mathematical problem when the keylock is turned on and you have adjusted the track speed +/- x%
Or even changed the key with +/- buttons.

The analysis might get totally wrong results.

So it’s better to separte stems with keylock turned off and on +/- 0% speed.

Actually it depends a lot of the actual code (or the stem separation lib the apps are using)

If I’m right on tracktor the stem separation is executed on CPU.

Stem Separation via GPU - Community

I’m quessing that a lot of online separation tools are heavily using latests GPU’s to get better result.
As modern GPU’s are pretty good on AI related stuff and basicly stem separation is a kind of AI problem.
Like https://www.lalal.ai/apps-and-plugin explains, that their local app is heavily using online as stated in FAQ:
“Yes, an internet connection is required to use the LALAL.AI desktop app, as it utilizes the same AI-powered stem separation technology as the web version.”

Could you look into forwarding this valuable suggestion upstream?
Basically to use the new waveform-based neural mix tracks function as a switch to force djay to pre-analyse stems on song load?? I single-track option i meant.

If I were a developer I want to understand your request, there was too much talk about the delays how quickly it’s done at the moment.

There are a lot of different ways to solve your request.

You suggested the new waveform-based view to trigger the stem analysis?

I managed to define 2 more as another option

A) When activating neural mix bar the analysis of stems should start automatically on all desks.

B) If the neural mix bar is open, stem analysis should start automatically when song is loaded to desk

And it should work similar way in all 1-2-4 desk views.

Still following on the request/suggestion though - as my learned colleague suggested above, pre-analysis of stems using the referenced menu (neural mix track - 1 track menu to activate “anaylse stems on song load” in order to avail stems instantly when triggered
